Our Strategy

From check out to aisle

Fifty years of challenges and success have put Solinest in the front rank of players in the French distribution business.

The Solinest model has been tried and tested: number 1 in pocket size confectionery with Ricola herb drops, Number 1 in lollipop sales with the Chupa Chups brand and an essential player in gum with Mentos chewing gums... Today, it is changing and, in addition to treat products, it is now opening up to in vogue and natural products which have enriched the Solinest range.

"At Solinest, we carry out rigorous market analyses in France and overseas.  And, in this way, we keep up-to-date with consumer trends and needs. Consumers who, although they don't play down the importance of enjoying a treat, are also looking for "healthier", responsible products, leaving lots of room for go-anywhere snacks. It is to satisfy these new expectations that Solinest has decided to modify its business model.

An historic player in confectionery, always present at the check out: Solinest has become a multi-category expert on the grocery (sweet, salty), beverages and fresh and produce shelves in stores. This change is the result of innovation and new brand partnerships: nearly 30 have been forged up to now.

Proprietary Brands

Because Solinest has been built on strong values, such as excellence, trust, innovation, anticipation and entrepreneurship, we have been marketing our own brands since 2009:

  • [N.A !], which is now the go-to product reference in the "nature" snacks segment,
  • Ouiz Water, the first water enhancer released in France,
  • Vaïvaï, the Number 1 coconut water brand on the market.

Innovative Business Partnerships

We have also expanded our range on the salty snacks shelf with new brands (Tyrrells, [N.A!]…) ; on the fresh produce shelf with the Wonderful Premium Nuts brand; on the fresh and beverages shelves with Fiji Water, POM pomegranate juice, Alpro vegetal milk, Starbucks ready-to-drink beverages and, more recently still, with syrups and concentrates from the Fruiss brand.

Founded on relations of closeness and trust, these business partnerships all satisfy a number of essential criteria:

  • The expectations and needs of the market and the consumer,
  • The need of retailers to stand out and be profitable (attractive offer - unique positioning - source of growth),
  • A powerful ability to innovate accompanied by sufficient activation resources.

Year after year, from check out to aisle, building on strong historic and innovative partnerships, we continue to make our way along the path to success."
